　　本片改编自菲利普·洛斯的小说《垂死生物》。主人公大卫是一位颇有声望的文化评论家，同时在纽约一所大学里兼任讲师。大卫单身汉的不羁生活在遇到24岁的康斯薇拉时受到了严重挑战，这个来自富有的古巴家庭的学生，引起了他强烈的占有欲……
